Slash Pickup Update

The Definition of Slash is Cut Vegetation, which includes: Tree branches (cut into 6-foot lengths), Brush, and Twigs.
Slash is NOT: Logs, stumps, lumber, fence posts!


Our neighborhood looks great. All slash has been picked up as of Wednesday, April 29, 2026.
A big shout-out to our independent contractor Bernie, who braved high winds to get all the slash piles picked up. Thank you, Bernie!
The slash pickups have always been a courtesy of the RRVE board. Picking up slash is not a requirement of the RRVE HOA CCRs. The RRVE board is pleased we can extend this courtesy to members of Rancho Ruidoso Valley Estates.
There are NO slash pick up scheduled. If you have slash now—or generate any in the future—you, as the property owner, are responsible for transporting it to the designated disposal facility south of Ruidoso Downs on Highway 70.
Thank you to all who cleaned up their properties to be Firewise and made an effort to keep our neighbor looking good and safe from extreme fire threat.

Hi Linda. We are confused with your May 1, Slash Pickup Update. The third paragraph indicates that The slash pickups have always been a courtesy of the RRVE board. Picking up slash is not a requirement of the RRVE HOA CCRs. "The RRVE board is pleased we can extend this courtesy to members of Rancho Ruidoso Valley Estates."
The very next paragraph indicates:
