TRASH DAY NEXT SATURDAY

Saturday July 25 Trash Day 8-12

UWS scheduled trash day is next Saturday. A dumpster will be at the Waste Treatment Plant next to Sunrise Park on Custer’s Last Stand.

Employees of UWS will be there to supervise and help.

Accept trash - bagged household trash, furniture, appliances, grills, lawnmowers etc.

NOT ACCEPTED - tires, paint, motor oil, chemicals, batteries, commercial waste, ashes or fire debris.

Reasonable amounts of slash but not lot clearing amounts.

Huge amounts of slash are accepted for FREE at the UWS Collection Site at 26440 US-70 in Ruidoso Downs.

It is THISTLE time. Please dig or cut down maturing thistles.

Our valley is almost thistle free. There are a few plants around that have the potential to contaminate the whole valley.  If you are a tenacious property owner you can on a daily basis cut off flowers ready to seed leaving blooming flowers for the

🐝’s and 🦋’s.
